I know how hard it is to be suffering and not know how to get out of it. Not all of us were blessed with families that know how to love us for who we are. I was very fortunate to be trained in mindfulness meditation by Thich Nhat Hanh and his community. 25 years later, those teachings inform every aspect of my life. It's now well known that mindfulness is a foundational element for consciousness, change and mental health. It is deeply incorporated into my psychotherapy practice. He seemed to know me better than I knew myself. I can't think of work that matters more than helping people to suffer less through anxiety and depression treatments. I pursued my master's degree in psychology the following year.
